Designed to connect students to the rich legacy of Black baseball and its deep roots in Freedmen’s Town and Texas, this experience invites participants to learn, play, and create together. During the event all participants will discover how baseball became a powerful force for community, culture, and pride. Along the way, participants will explore stories from Major League Baseball and the Negro Leagues, including the historic West End Baseball Park and trailblazers like Leroy Grant and Rube Foster, while celebrating how this legacy continues to inspire young people today.
