Juneteenth 161 Fest offers a rich tapestry of cultural programming designed to educate, inspire, and celebrate our shared heritage and community. The cultural celebration featuring live performances, visual arts, and community gathering, honoring 161 years of freedom and resilience.
Important Update: Juneteenth Fest Has Been Modified to a Juneteenth Kickback
Due to severe weather conditions, Juneteenth Fest 161 will not take place as originally planned. Instead, please join us for an intimate Juneteenth Kickback at the African American History Research Center, Gregory School Campus, Wednesday, June 17th.
Schedule:
1:00 PM β Opening Reception (light bites & refreshments) with sound by DJ Tazz
1:30 PM β Program Begins: MC Jessica Georges, a special performance by Vizion, remarks from elected officials and community leaders, and our Hometown Hero Honorees
2:30 PM β Fireside Chat with Kendrick Sampson
General admission RSVP holders are welcome to join us for the Opening Reception and Program (1:00β2:00 PM). Only Fireside Chat ticket holders will be able to remain for the Fireside Chat.
All outdoor festivities, Visitor Center workshops, the Talent Showcase, vendor marketplace, and food trucks have been cancelled.
